Somebody Broke my Boyfriend...

Lately Jerad has been super great to me. He has been working a lot of overtime lately which has left me pretty much alone to do all of the errands, cleaning, shopping blah blah.. so, Monday he decided to help out be spending two hours cleaning and organizing the kitchen, fridge, and cabinets. That was like a Stephanie dream come true. While he was doing that, I got a bunch of laundry washed, and all of the floors vacuumed and washed.

Later, he ran errands with me and I gave me a one hour back rub. Trust me, this is not normal.

Then, in an effort to keep me de-stressed, he Split! His!Head!Open! Ya. Apparently him and Josh, one of his co workers, were making metal something-or-another that Jerad was going to weld. Jerad was bending down over his to use a plasma cutter or angle grinder or some man tool, right as Josh raised up the one that he was working on. It had sharp metal threads and just sliced right into his forehead apparently down to the bone.

Did he call me, text me, warn me? Nope. I come home to him mowing the lawn with all this bandaging on his head and hear how everyone thought that he probably needed 5 or 6 stitches but he didn't want to go get them. Oh goodness. Hopefully the gaping wound gash isn't as big as the bandage.

He started backtracking and claiming it wasn't that bad after he figured out I.was.pissed. that he refused to see a doctor. I mean come on, 1) he has good insurance and 2) it doesn't even matter cause it was a workman's comp thing anyways. It will just suck if it heals into an ugly scar cause he was too scared... er, busy... to get it looked at. Plus, hello, he got cut by probably a dirty piece of metal... I hope he cleaned it well.

The good news is besides being a little sore, he feels fine. I called him at lunch today and he was having a little jam sesh in the warehouse with Josh. Who by the way feels TERRIBLE about the whole thing. Which is why I encouraged Jerad to occasionally pause and ask him if he could "hear that ringing sound?" Or pretend to forget the names of certain tools, and call Josh by the wrong name.

Cause I'm nice like that :)

Miffed.

The Universe conspires against me.

A few weeks ago I was looking for something in an old email account to send my sister and couldn't find it. In fact, the whole folder that it should have been in was gone. I thought it was strange but decided that I must have deleted it an forgotten.

Then today I tried to log into something else and kept being told that my password was invalid.

Strange...

I doubt its another blonde moment because I've had the same password for like 3 years now. SO I went through the security questions and thank goodness THOSE all worked and I was able to change it.

What super sucks is, almost all of my passwords for everything are the same. Emails, bills, credit cards. So... to be safe just in case I think I should change all of them. Its going to take me forever!!!

Plus, I'm bad at that. They changed our door combo at work over a month ago and every day I still enter the old one. So, if I never email, myspace, or blog again, you'll know why. I can't remember my damn password.

My most embarrasing moment.... *ever*

Probably most of you have heard this story, but I'm sure some of you haven't. Since Jerad eluded to it in his lil Q&A sesh, I'll elaborate.

Let me preface by saying that Jerad and I have been friends for 11 years now, or 12? I loose count. Anyways, he was always the innocent, rules following, goodie-two-shoes one. I was by no means a wild child, just more daring than him.

Okay, fast forward to the year after we had graduated. I had been with my boyfriend for 3 1/2 years. His parents were out of town. You see where this is going right? (Of course you do... but that thought had NEVER crossed Jerad's mind even once even though he hung out with us all.the.time.) I had this whole night planned, candles, wine, lingerie, blah blah blah. My boyfriend worked up the street and was supposed to be coming home right after work.

Exactly 5 minutes after his shift was over, there was a knock on the door. Every one knew his parents were gone, we weren't supposed to be there, it was clearly my bf right?

Me: come in!

So, Jerad comes strolling on in... with Nick in tow... who at the time was 13. The little brother of his best friend. What! The! Eff!

Jerad (making nothing but straight eye contact): Um, did you know there were balloons outside?

Me: Uh... yes...

Nick: blatantly staring like a 13 year old boy would

Me: trying to will more clothes to appear on my body. Or lightening to strike me down.

Jerad (lots of eye contact): ...Um, I brought the mail...

Me (slowly reaching out): ... thanks...

and then they walked out.

About one minute later my boyfriend got home, having no idea what had gone on. he just saw the candles, wine, everything. He said something to me and I just burst into hysterical tears. He was confused and all I remember is him saying "What, I told you you looked nice?!?"

I tried to explain through my hysteria, and demanded that he call Jerad.

So, he did.

Him: So.. Steph is pretty upset. What happened?

Jerad: Well. I brought the mail. Thats it. I didn't see anything. *Click*

Then the worst part. We never spoke of it again. If he had teased me, I might have been able to get over it, but seriously, it was like it never happened. Except it was etched, no burned, into my memory. It was like Jesus had walked in on me. Actually I think my time line is off and we were still in high school because I remember never wanting to go back. So maybe this was the very end of our Senior year or something. No matter when the heck it was, I was mortified.

***

Fast forward 6 years. I was riding in the car with Danielle and Jerad. We are all laughing and talking about different things.

Danielle asks me "what is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?"

My heart stops. I remember how I felt. I turn around at her and glare. She knows the story. Jerad and I have still never spoke of it. She laughs as she realizes. Jerad gets confused. I sigh and look at him.

Me: remember that time in highschool?

Jerad: stares at me blankly

Me: ahh! when you and Nick...??

Jerad: ...

Me: Brought. The. Mail.

Jerad: Oh yeah.....

And we all have a little laugh.

We get to Taylor's house and Nick happened to be there. Jerad swears that he never said anything to him about our conversation in the car. The boys all go outside and are working on Taylor's truck. Danielle and I go inside and are watching a movie. Nick comes inside to get a drink. A light goes on in Danielle's head and all she says is:

"Wait, is this who was with him?"

And Nick gets this HUGE grin and goes "oh my gosh, are you talking about When Jerad and I totally walked in on you about to get it on???"

And I died again. So, I guess he didn't block it out like Jerad did.

Now that I've shared, what's your most embarrassing moment?

Sheryl's Wedding

Saturday we attended Sheryl and Shannon's wedding.

Warning: this post contains drunk dancing pics. What can I say, the more I drink, the more I have to dance... yet, the less able I am to do so. Anyways, without further ado:

And then it was time to par-tay...

Then back to the Bridal Suite to pack up and wind down:

After that, we headed to the Cliffs for an after party. Danielle and I may or may not have decided it was a good idea to take off our dresses and swim in the pool. Hmm... luckily there is no photo documentation of that part of the evening.

Sheryl was a beautiful bride, it was a beautiful wedding, and a lot of fun was had by all.

The End

Edit: I had to add these tha I stole from Liz's myspace:)

The last one is my new favorite picture... Gregg likes dancing about as much as Jerad does soo... Danielle and I helped him get his groove on.
